About Us

Who We Are

We are a non profit organization known as Youth In Business. Our objective is to develop an annual food market, which will promote local restaurants and allow food entrepreneurs to launch their business. We want to share our love for good food with the local community.

Winston Chiu

An experienced food vendor, Winston took Toronto by storm in the summer of 2011 with his Tornado Potatoes (deep fried potatoes on a stick). Tornado Potatoes became wildly popular at various festivals and food shows throughout Toronto. After attending numerous food shows as a vendor, Winston found that the Markham/Scarborough region is home to very few food festivals. The community needed more opportunities to showcase their local gourmet culinary talents. With that in mind, Winston established TO Food Fest – a fun and tasteful afternoon that brings together the local community.

Elysia Chan

Elysia Chan is the Director of Operations for TO Food Fest. She is a graduate of The University of Toronto and through the co-op program of her degree, she has found her passion and built valuable experience in event planning. Together with her love of food, she has taken advantage of the various culinary experiences found within her home towns of Scarborough and Markham to aid in the organization of this event. This gourmet food show is the perfect combination of event coordination along with a showcase of the delicious treats found hidden in the community. Elysia is very happy to be a part of Toronto’s newest food show.

Back in her hometown of Toronto, Harriet has worked with both mainstream and ethnic media in an agency setting. She looks forward to developing ongoing relationships with the media and food lovers in Toronto to share local culinary discoveries with the community.
